Brussels/Flensburg, 09/05/2023: The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is organizing a conference on “Applied Sciences as drivers for regional innovation ecosystems in Africa” in partnership with a network of German Universities of Applied Sciences. The aim of the conference from 5-7 September 2023 is to explore and promote the benefits of applied sciences as a driver for regional innovation in Africa. The conference will be structured in three parts, including a public conference, policy workshops, and a policy dialogue. The conference is looking for (higher) education projects in Europe-Africa cooperation with a strong focus on applied sciences and/or innovation, particularly in (Renewable) Energy, Agriculture and Food Security, (Public) Health, and IT/Technology and Innovation. The call for participation is open until May 31, 2023. Participants are expected to cover their travel and accommodation costs, and a limited number of grants are offered by DAAD.
