Cape Town, 09/08/2026: Evidence-based policymaking has become a defining feature of Germany-Africa development cooperation, with water and sanitation central to the Sustainable Development Goals.
Professor Bongani Ncube of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), SARChI Research Chair in Governance and Economics for Water and Sanitation Sector Institutions, has been appointed as a panel expert on the Presidency and GIZ Sustainable Development Goals Initiative in the area of Water Services and Sanitation. Panellists provide policy briefs translating research evidence for the Presidency’s Policy and Research Services Branch.
As a partner in the CESAR project, CPUT reinforces the structural link between academic expertise and Germany-Africa development cooperation.
