Data Science Project in Nairobi and Flensburg

Data Science Project in Nairobi and Flensburg

Nairobi, 12/02/2016: Today we would like to present our Data Science Project which is taking place right now and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Thomas Schmidt. The goal is to develop a dashboard that will display information of the World Bank which then can be used by investors to decide in which African country to invest. In order to achieve this goal, the Fachhochschule Flensburg and the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) each have 5 project groups with 2 students from each country working together on a topic. That way it is not just possible to work efficiently on a project, but it also strengthens the cooperation between German and Kenian students and it will help them to develop and to improve an intercultural understanding.

The kick-off of the project was on the 5th and 6th of February in Nairobi and on the 9th in Flensburg and we are excited to keep you updated on how the project is coming along.
