Surplace and Third Country Scholarship Programme – DAAD

Flensburg, 11/05/2022: For the Surplace and Third Country Scholarship Programme of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the selection of suitable new partner institutions from West and Central Africa and Eastern Africa was on the agenda in March 2022, which will then receive and supervise DAAD-funded students from Sub-Saharan Africa during their Master’s or PhD studies in the region from 2023 onwards.

Initially, the DAAD filtered the institutions according to formal and funding criteria and asked the remainder to submit a full proposal.
Kay was then asked to evaluate and rank the potential partner institutions according to the quality of their academic programmes.
Furthermore, Kay was invited to participate virtually in the selection meetings on 28-29 March for East Africa and on 6-7 April for West and Central Africa.
