Stefan Liebing on Africa Investment Summit in Berlin

Berlin, 30/10/2018: Last tuesday Stefan Liebing, lecturer at our Centre and Chairman of the German-African Business Association (Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft), started off the G20 Compact with Africa Investment Summit in Berlin. Among the honorary guests of the Summit were the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, as well as statesmen and heads of eleven African states, such as the President of South Africa, Tunisia, Ghana and Rwanda.
During the conference Chancellor Angela Merkel announced a package of support measures for those medium-sized companies, who plan to do investments in Africa. She promised the establishment of a development fund in size of one billion euros, as well as benefits for the Hermes insurance.
