Hamburg/Berlin, 08/05/2020: The Center for Business and Technology organized the first online excursion at HS Flensburg with the students of the African New Markets master’s course.
In times of the Corona crisis a trip to Berlin to the parliament and BMZ as well as to Hamburg to Euler Hermes and to the Woehrmann trading house was not possible. The team around Stefan Liebing and Kay Pfaffenberger designed a WebEx conference as a virtual excursion. The individual speakers switched online and the students participated with many questions for the individual speakers, including member of the Bundestag Stefan Rouenhoff. The deputy Head of Unit Andreas Beckermann of the BMZ, who took part in the virtual excursion despite the public holiday in Berlin and provided valuable tips on how to organize his house, indicated that it was also the first BMZ event of this type with students from a university. Everyone involved, especially the students, agreed that it was a great format.
Flensburg is once again very close (at home) and far ahead (the first).
