Douala, 30/04/2022: Chairman of the German-African Business Association and member of the Centre for Business and Technology in Africa (CBTA) Prof. Dr. Stefan Liebing and Prof. Dr. Kay Pfaffenberger of the CBTA had a special meeting in Douala, Cameroon. Both were appointed to the Advisory Board of the Hanseatic Institute of Technology and Applied Sciences (HITAS). HITAS is a private university with a special focus on cooperation with the hanseatic region of Northern Germany. Liebing says, it was his pleasure to support HITAS President Prof. Dr. Dr. Maurice Kamga, who is also a judge at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea in Hamburg, in setting up the Institute and developing partnership agreements with various institutions in Northern Germany.
Other members of the HITAS Advisory Board are the German Ambassador to Cameroon, Corinna Fricke and the Cameroonian Ambassador to Berlin, Victor Ndocki.

Stefan Liebing was appointed to a strategy group that will accompany a project of the European Council on Foreign Affairs that will look at the role of natural gas for African development.
The strategy group is called: Natural Gas Development in East Africa and Southern Africa – Providing Industrial-Scale Power while Catalyzing Green Energy Transition.
