London, 15/08/2023: The International Summit on Non-Renewable and Renewable Energy (ISNRE2023) took place in London on 14-15 August. Prof. Dr. Kay Pfaffenberger was Conference Co-Chair and gave a keynote speech on “Impact of the European Green Energy Transition on Africa – Need for Action of a Sustainable and Successful Approach“. His presentation focused on two aspects: Local content and the need for skilled workforce and the challenges to close the gap between European needs and African sustainable development. Towards the end of his speech, a fruitful discussion ensued, which unfortunately stretched the timetable of the event. Nevertheless, it showed the importance of focusing on the complexity of such projects.
