Implementation of “Train the Trainer” workshops in South Africa

Implementation of “Train the Trainer” workshops in South Africa

Nairobi/Juja, 28/06/2016: Together with Arne Möller from the ELSE (E-Learning Service), Martin Kühn visited two universities in South Africa, the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) in Vanderbijlpark and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) where they organized workshops on the implementation of the “Train The Trainer”, a course which was developed at the Hochschule Flensburg. The course was generated within the Programm on Energy Efficiency in Southern Africa (PEESA) (which is a promoted project of the EU) by the ELSE and is supposed to be offered at South African universities. Participants of the workshop are employees of the universities that will be supervising the classes as a trainer and/or as an administrator. The workshop provides the participants with the equipment to organize and handle online lectures. For example, they will learn how to work with video conferences and chats.
The universities see the course as an opportunity to gain an added value for their classes/courses and they will be benefiting from the experiences of the ELSE.
