Expert Advisory Board on Applied Sciences in East-Africa

Flensburg, 08/11/2021: On 25 and 26 November, the second Expert Advisory Board on Applied Sciences in East-Africa, supported by the German Academic Exchange Service, will take place in Nairobi. For the first time since 2019, representatives from the universities of Reutlingen, Furtwangen, Mainz, Rhein-Waal and Flensburg will exchange ideas with their Kenyan colleagues on site. Thomas Schmidt and Kay Pfaffenberger from the Centre for Business and Technology in Africa will travel to represent Flensburg University of Applied Sciences.

After recapping the last conferences in Nairobi 2019 and 2021 online, a Plenary Presentation on Success Stories of Transnational High Education Projects is planned. This will be followed by parallel workshops, including one with Kay Pfaffenberger on Curriculum Development and Accreditation and Industry Requirements, before concluding with a Plenary on the EAC Perspective on Applied Sciences. On the second day, more parallel workshops will be held before the conference ends with a Panel Discussion on Perspectives on the Implementation of the German-East African University of Applied Sciences.
