Flensburg, 11/06/2021: As part of the Master’s course African New Markets, Professors Dr. Stefan Liebing and Dr. Kay Pfaffenberger conducted the planned excursion via online conference in 2021 after 2020 due to the pandemic. In addition to the representative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Andreas Beckermann (responsible, among other things, for the development of the Marshall Plan Africa), Rasmus Woermann as a representative from the business community, representatives of Euler-Hermes, who spoke about Hermes cover and possibilities for granting loans and collateralisation, the members of the German Bundestag Dipl.-Vw. Stefan Rouenhoff, CDU/CSU (Head of the Project Group Africa Partnerships of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group: https://www.halloafrika.de/) and the SPD’s Africa Policy Spokesperson, Christoph Matschie (picture, among other things Chairman of the Subcommittee on United Nations, International Organisations and Globalisation of the Bundestag) in an intensive discussion with the students about perspectives for the African continent from the German point of view. All participants hope that the excursion can be held again in 2022.
