Flensburg, 06/05/2022: On the occasion of this year’s German-African Conference, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) and the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation (HSS) invited to a reception in the academy and the garden of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation.
High-ranking politicians from Africa and Germany gave impulses and lead discussions. Even a member of the European Parliament was present. From the CBTA, Kay Pfaffenberger was on site.
The two-day event ran from 9-10 May 2022 and started at 8.30 am. Address was Tiergartenstraße 35, 10785 Berlin.
Topic was “Africa and Europe in the age of a new System Competition – Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation“.
Of the total of four panels, three took place on 9 May. Scheduled were:
- Economy, Trade and Regional Integration
- Security and Defence
- New Directions in Climate and Energy Policy
- Policy Recommendations for an improved African-European cooperation
