Top of the Table – The 100 key minds on the African scene

Berlin, 03/06/2024: In its Africa.Table section, Table.Media has compiled a ranking of the 100 most important people in the German-speaking Africa scene.

Stefan Liebing from CBTA is one of them in the category of consultants. He comes from the energy industry and, after working for EnBW and Eon, set up his own business with the management consultancy Conjuncta GmbH. He was also Chairman of the German-African Business Association for more than ten years. In spring 2023, however, he decided to pass the baton on to Sabine Dall’Omo. Last year, Stefan Liebing returned to the energy sector: He is now pursuing several green hydrogen projects in Angola and Mauritania. These investments are all worth several billion euros.

Along with Stefan Liebing, Kay Pfaffenberger has also been ranked as one of Africa’s 100 most influential minds of the German-speaking Africa scene – but in the “Science” category. Under Pfaffenberger’s leadership, 9 professors currently work for the CBTA, which makes Flensburg University of Applied Sciences an important institution in the African scientific landscape. He is also a member of the Africa Association of German Business and active in the university network of the universities of Weihenstephan, Neu Ulm, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Rhein Waal and Flensburg.

Other key figures in the ranking are assigned to the categories of politics, companies, consulting, associations, think tanks, foundations, NGOs and society.
