The effects of the corona pandemic also affect students at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences who spend a semester abroad in Trinidad & Tobago, Belgium, Ireland, or Australia.
Lea-Christin Witt, who wanted to study logistics at Supplied Chain Management for a semester at the University of Pretoria in South Africa in February, but then the borders were closed, she waits eight hours for a ticket and finally, she gets the last place on the plane, then the air traffic is stopped.
Jan Nordwald’s trip lasted 74 hours: from Namibia via South Africa, London, Amsterdam to Frankfurt, and from there with a rental car to Flensburg, but he is happy to be back because friends from Namibia tell him about the threatening situation.
