German-African Business Summit (GABS)

Nairobi, 08/02 – 10/02/2017: Prof. Pfaffenberger joined this year’s German-African Business Summit (GABS), held in Nairobi from February 08th-10th.

New contacts and many interesting discussions with e.g. representatives from DAAD and the German Department for Foreign Affairs were the outcome of his participation. One achievement was the signing of a memory of understanding for the establishment of an East African-German University of Applied Science with contribution of the Centre for Business and Technology in Africa (CBTA).

This year’s award in the category of “Innovation for Development” was given to GreenTec Capital Partners, represented by Thomas Festerling and Erik Yong (2nd picture). The CBTA congratulates both Thomas Festerling and Erik Yong on the award and highly appreciates the close collaboration with them.
