Berlin, 25/05/2023: For a two-day excursion, the students of the Master degree course “African New Markets” traveled to Berlin and Hamburg. The aim of the event is to meet high-ranking decision-makers such as politicians, ministry officers and boardlevel business leaders and to get into a personal exchange with them.
On the first day, a meeting with Sabine Odhiambo, Secretary General, Deutsche Afrika Stiftung e.V. (DAS) and H.E. Joseph John Mpinganjira, Ambassador of Malawi to Berlin was on the agenda.
The group continued to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), where they met Stephen Bethe, Head of Division 112: Trade.
As the final item on the agenda for the first day, the students visited Stefan Rouenhoff, Member of the German Bundestag, at the Paul-Löbe-Haus in Berlin’s government district.
