Bonn, 13\/10\/2025: On October 2, 2025, the Ghana Country Day of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR)<\/a> took place at the Dorint Hotel in Bonn. The aim of the event was to bring together stakeholders from politics, science, and business and to provide impetus for increased German-Ghanaian cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the leadership of Dr. Erik Hansalek and with the participation of the designated Ghanaian ambassador, Professor Ohene Adjei<\/a> (sworn in as Ghana’s ambassador-designate to the Federal Republic of Germany by President Mahama on September 4, 2025), a variety of formats were offered: A panel discussion on German-Ghanaian scientific cooperation, expert dialogues, information stands run by funding organizations, and get-together opportunities for informal exchange.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

One focus of Ghana Country Day was the so-called expert dialogue in the humanities and social sciences, where opportunities for cooperation and possible formats for collaboration between German and Ghanaian institutions were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
