Closer cooperation between companies and universities in Africa could ensure innovation and growth. Support from German research and development policy could promote cooperation between science and business for this purpose.<br><br>In cooperation with the HAW Africa University Network and the German-African Business Association, Dr Karamba Diaby MdB would like to discuss the following questions with you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">What role can HAWs play in solving the shortage of skilled workers in Africa?<br>play?<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">How can application-oriented German-African university cooperation that is interlinked with business be supported sustainably and effectively?<br>be supported?<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Under what conditions do German-African university and business partnerships strengthen regional innovation systems?<\/mark><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After a welcome address by the host, Prof. Dr. Thomas Bayer, Director of the Africa Institute at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences, will give a keynote address from academia.
