These are among the questions addressed by Prof.<br>Dr. habil. Marcus Brandenburg as part of his research and knowledge<br>transfer activities at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences. During<br>his research trip to Sri Lanka in September 2026, he presented current<br>findings from this work at two international academic events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the <a href=\"https:\/\/uom.lk\/tmle\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/uom.lk\/tmle\">University of Moratuwa<\/a>, Brandenburg delivered a Visitors Talk on<br>Germany&#8217;s Supply Chain Due Diligence Act<br>(<a href=\"https:\/\/hs-flensburg.de\/hochschule\/aktuelles\/2025\/4\/15\/herausragende-masterarbeit-auszeichnung-fuer-absolventen-der\">Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, LkSG<\/a>) and its implications for<br>companies and international supply chains. At the subsequent <a href=\"https:\/\/gcsm.eu\/\">Global<br>Conference for Sustainable Manufacturing (GCSM)<\/a> in Colombo, he presented<br>research findings on the circular economy in small and medium-sized<br>enterprises in the German-Danish border region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentations draw on scientific studies conducted at Flensburg<br>University of Applied Sciences, including research carried out within<br>the <a href=\"http:\/\/- https:\/\/hs-flensburg.de\/forschung\/fue\/forschungsprojekte\/gronbusiness\">Gr\u00f8nBusiness<\/a> project in the fields of sustainable value chains and<br>the circular economy, together with doctoral researchers and students<br>under Brandenburg&#8217;s supervision. Scientific knowledge generated at the<br>university is thus not only integrated into teaching, but also made<br>visible at international academic events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This international transfer of knowledge strengthens the visibility and<br>international network of Flensburg University of Applied Sciences in a<br>research field that is highly relevant to sustainability and industrial<br>transformation.
